My fiance received his denial letter today for the Amex loc. The reason stated was "Not at least 1 open trade 12 months old" Now, I know that some of his accounts aren't being reported to Experian, but he does have multiple accounts that are and they are well over a year old. Here are the accounts he has that are over 1 year that are on his Experian report: Burdines opened 5/98 Kay Jewelers opened 12/97 Sears opened 12/97 mortgage opened 2/1997 Of course I'm pissed that Fleet won't report his Fleet card to Experian. It was opened 5/94.
I hear you the other. I called twice and those had to be hands down the dumbest reps I have ever spoken with, I was quite surprised this being Amex, but they were clueless.
