I have brought my FICO up from low 600's to mid 700's in the past few months. I'm wanting to balance transfer a $1500 card to a low APR. Which card do you advise me to apply and transfer too with my score that offers a low APR for starters???
No, the offer I'm referring to has been advertised in the major Sunday newpapers in the coupon section (check out Smart Source/Smart Choice ??? coupon books). There is a 1-800 number you have to call listed on the ad. I'd tell you, except I don't have the number with me. I suggest calling Citibank to apply for a card and ask for the Plat Select offer with the 0% BT apr until June 2002. I'm sure they'd have the application for you or at least the correct phone number/dept. to route you to. Hope this helps,
Darn...I called both Citi bank numbers and both of them said I had to have the Promotional 800# to call in order to apply for that offer...anyone out there have that????? HELP!!
1-800-713-0252 CITIBANK PLATINUM SELECT MUST CALL BY 09/16/2001 0.00% ON BT TILL 06/01/2002 BT FEE $50.00 MAX "GO-TO" 12.99% NO ANNUAL FEE ******************** IF YOU HATE CAPS...IGNORE ANSWER...
George, Thank you for posting the number. Jfpruitt is correct that regular customer service won't give it to you. Actually, they were pretty rude to me when I called about it. First time I've had that type of customer service from Citibank. :-(
jfpruitt: Check out http://credit-cardsource.com - they've got several different credit cards to choose from and descriptions on which credit card is right for you. Also, if you have a personal question - email the guy there - I think his name is Spike - he is most helpful! Good luck!
George, Where did you see that offer? (I have seen you post that a couple times)...I told my mom about that offer and she is going to apply tomorrow since she has GREAT credit, several other high balance cards, and I am going to try and help her consolidate to better rates and lower fee cards. She got an offer in the mail from CiTi for a 0% BT through April 2002 and I was hoping when she calls to apply she can ask for the June 2002 date and 12.99 (or lower) rate after that and on purchases but if they ask "Where did you see that offer?" I would like to tell her to say where she saw 0% thru June. I saw the 800 number you posted was different than the one on her mailed application...will that number put her in touch with those that know the June 2002 offer? That is what I told her is most likely the case. Thanks, -Dave
SUNDAY NEWSPAPER...SMART SOURCE COUPONS... I'll fax you a copy if you send me $29.95 to PO BOX ..... Just kidding... Too bad I can't get it!!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY ELSE...
Thanks GEORGE, I'll let you all know if that 800# is directly connected to the June '02 promotion (which I hope). Peace, Dave
CITIBANK HAS MANY NUMBERS...BUT I assume the 1-800-713-0252 is the ONLY number you can use for this 0.00% offer. GOOD LUCK...
