There are certain credit cards that you will never get again if you screwed them in the past. Citibank and Amex are the two most mentioned on this board. I believe there were a few posts in the past in which folks stated that Citibank didn't even pull their credit report as the applicant's name came up on their internal blacklist. I've heard it said here that Amex will never give you a card again if you have ever screwed them. Do a search here for blackist and you should find some old posts.
I've heard of people getting Amex cards if they repaid Amex. Personally, I'd rather have nothing to do with Amex in the future.
