This is a discussion board. A "chat room" is where people type messages to each other "IN REAL TIME" (meaning, as soon as one person presses return, the others see it and can answer back, etc. -- like a telephone or like ham radio). A "discussion board" on the other hand is like a community corkboard. I'm posting this. If nobody's here, somebody can read this later. That's not the case with a chat room; in a chat, if nobody else is there, nobody will ever see what you type. Doc
