I guess in june of 2001 someone tried to sue my wife. In august of 2001 it was dismissed. Today it hit my wife's credit report and it even says case dismissed. I called one of the rudest ladies at transunion yet and she says I can investigate it and since it was dismissed it will come off my report in 30 days. I ask why not delete today and she gets all snippy and tells me I know the rules and I have to wait 30 days. Bullcrap. I called the lakewood court and they said transunion sends people into public records but they never do a followup and it happens all the time. It took them 14 months to to put a dismissed lawsuit on her report that we have never heard of. I emailed don richman but if he cannot or will not help I have had it. They also refuse to investigate any inquiries. It is obvious to me that these CRAs want your credit to be bad and do anything to make it this way including reporting false information. They could care less. I hope they fight this because I am ready for a fight. She lost over 100 points on her report because of this.
Yes I know. But the case was dismissed so they cannot put on your credit report. The lady at transunion even said it would come off but that I have to wait 30 days. TU just did something else to which I do not wanna say yet as I have not determined if it is bad or good but it is another card for me to deal.
I'm not saying I agree with reporting dismissed cases, but, I think they can report dismissed lawsuits. They do report dismissed bk's, unlike Exp and Equifax which don't. Good luck.
Nodding, a public record is a public record; it can be reported. Hopefully you'll get lucky and they really won't do any follow-up. Sassy
