I've been reading so many posts that I am now confused about how to deal with these individual negatives on my CR. I've listed each agency below and what their negatives are, any direction would be appreciated.

    TU
    Installment Account SM SERVICING XXXXXXXX
    120 days past due
Current status is listed as 120 days past due (this account has been paid off for more than 4 years and is listed a second time on the report as positive)

    Revolving Account FST PREMIER XXXXXXXXXX
Paid or paying as agreed 30 days past due
(I posted about this account already, I disputed "fees" charged to my account which were the only charges on it and then closed the account -- and a month after I closed the account they reported me as 30 days past due)

    Revolving Account CBUSASEARS XXXXXX
    Paid or paying as agreed
    90 days past due
(This is my oldest TL and I am thinking a Goodwill letter is my best bet?)

    Revolving Account PROVIDIAN XXXXXXX
Unrated or bankruptcy 60 days past due
(The card was stolen in 2001 and the account reopened with a new acct #, I have never filed for bankruptcy)

    Equifax
Lists the same First Premier, Sears and Sallie Mae accounts as above, plus these two:

    BANK OF AMERICA XXXXXXXXXX
    Bad debt/collection
(This is not mine, the report says it is from 1999 and was a paid charge off)

AT&T WIRELESS SERVICE (No account number listed)
Bad debt/collection 30 days past due
(This is not mine, it also says that it's from 1998)

    Experian
Lists the same 3 accounts as TU: Sears, First Premier and Sallie Mae

Also, I have several seemingly positive accounts that are listed as "closed by credit grantor" which are mine from more than 7 years ago that are now listed as "Account paid satisfactorily" Does this hurt or help me?

Sorry for the lengthy post, I would really appreciate any guidance on what letters to use for each of these.

    THANKS!

    sl
