I had not appled for credit since 10/02, when I got my Target Store Card. Recently I applied for a Citi Bank Card. Was sent the form letter, denying credit. Reason BK reporting. BK was from 3/99. My Tu score (which is what they pulled) was a 669. 15 R1 tradlines & 2 neg in BK. So, is there any good prime card out there that I could get? I am AU on one of my husbands, but, I would like one of my own Thanks, Becky
Try the "paid" cards (which have an annual fee). They'll give a CC to just anyone. I know Providian is one of them, there must be others. Or, try the "car" cards. Like the Household Bank - they can give you a GM, or Corvette, or some other card. Or, get a secured card. In between 12 to 18 months (depending on the issuer), they'll convert it to a regular one and will report it as of the date they issued it.
My husband, whom was also in the BK has had no problems getting prime rate cards. His scores are lower then mine. This Bk was 5 yrs ago. I have not had any neg's since the BK. So why is it so hard for me to get a good card, with a decent credit score? Becky
