I posted about 2 weeks ago about sending out letters to the people on my report because 1 is from 2003, the other the delinq date was wrong, and the other was as a good will to remove.

1 of the letters came back as undeliverable, not sure of the correct address for HSBC, anyone know?? It was for Best Buy.

The other 2 I have not received information back from.

    Last month my scores were

    EQ - 639 (weak)
    EXP - 649 (weak)
    TU - 681 (fair)

I got a new report today (I get a new one with all 3 scores this time each month)

while I'm happy with the increase in my scores, I don't see anything that has changed enough to make these scores increase the way they did.

    New scores:

EQ - 675 (fair) went up 36 pts
EXP - 675 (fair) went up 26 pts
TU - 702 (good) went up 21 pts

The only thing I can think of is that my Cap One card now doesn't have a balance where last month it was showing $600+ being due. I also got another credit card, but haven't used it yet so it's not reporting.

Should I do anything with these accts that I originally sent a letter to since my scores have increased anyway, or should I be sending out another letter since I haven't heard anything one way or another from these people??

Give them at least 30 days to respond before deciding what to do next. 2 weeks is just too short. Also, what's your overall credit utilization now that you have the new card and your Cap One balance has been paid off?

Regarding the HSBC address, did you send it to the address listed on your credit reports or did you use another address?

my cap one card has $97 on it out of $750, so that'd be a little over 10%

my journey card has $24 on it out of $2000, so that's about 1%

I have no other credit card debt.

Before I paid my cap one card off it was about 80% which I guess could be why my credit score raised?

Yes, paying down the Cap One card balance definitely helped your scores. Now that your overall utilization is under 10%, keep it that way.
