    Happy Thursday List!

In March of 1993 I declared bk... so, as you all can guess, my 10 yr date is a mere 6 months from now! Does anyone have an idea of how much your score will go up when it does come off.

Aside from the bk, my utilization is 43% (national avg, 34%), and a few recent inquiries are my other 2 of the "top three" reasons for my score.

    My current fico is 617.

Thanks for any input any of you might have!

    Sincerely,

    Charles

I disputed an 18 month old bk, got it removed, and my score went up 8 points.

it's not really the points but the fact that once it's off... you no longer trigger bk denials from prime companies.

Also, as I have read on this board, the bk is not the major whammy to your score you might think. It is actually the LAST derog that is deleted. If you have 10 derogs and manage to get the bk deleted, you won't see much improvement in score. Get the bk deleted AND all 10 of those derogs, and you should see a major jump.
