I think you're a really great friend to help someone with the task of credit repair! From someone who has worked non-stop on my own, here is my 2 cents.

I can tell you this much about Santander, they are very nice and very willing to help the customers. I had a voluntary repo with them and I talked with a supervisor after I paid the negative balance and they deleted the entire account for me. Since his is paid and has a zero balance, I would try to talk to a supervisor and see if they would provide a goodwill adjustment for the negative items on the account but allow the trade line to remain. You don't want to have good accounts deleted; especially aged ones.

ARS will have to be paid. Tell them that you are willing to pay but you would like their negative account deleted. Make sure the funds are available to pay them before saying you will and get their agreement to delete in writing before sending them any money. If they won't agree to that, pay them anyway. That way when the year comes around, the account will have aged with a zero balance and the score impact will be less. (Although my broker said that most banks and lenders will forgive up to $500 in medical bills for a home loan...I still did a pay for delete on mine.)

Enhance will also have to be paid. Again, I would offer payment with delete, have the funds ready to send them and get the agreement to delete in writing. If they refuse, pay it anyway.

Enhance with a zero balance, ask them to delete it since they have been paid.

Just my experiences but these things have worked. Don't be rude or defensive and if the person you talk to will not work with you, ask for a supervisor. Good luck!
