Rec'vd letter from CA. OC: Wachovia/First USA/Bank One. This account was paid in 2002. Now it's almost a thousand dollars more! Do I simply call and try to straighten this out on the phone or is it better to communicate thru letters (Verification, validation, etc)? Thanks.
Letters - sent certified, return receipt. Do you have a copy of the cashed check paying off the debt? Anything in writing to prove this was paid? I would send a copy along with the letter telling them it was paid, and to buzz off. Good luck! KL
