I am interested in increasing my CL by doing the combo scenario. Since I have never done the citicard shuffle, I was hoping some of you in the know could offer soem suggestions. I currently have a Citi Platinum Select only and have never had any other citi product. I was thinking of applying for a Platinum Select Dividend card, then combining that to my Select since I've had that tradeline longer and currently have a 7.1% apr. However, is there any other card that I should also apply for immediately after the Dividend? Should I even apply for the dividend? Can I or should I apply for the Gold and AA instead? I know there have been countless posts on citi combining, but they all refer to combining into the Platinum. What if you already have the Platinum, what next?
You could apply for the silver AA card, if approved go right back and apply for the gold aa card then combine them and convert to dividend card. The reason I recommend the aa series cards first is b/c they tend to give you a higher credit limit than the platinum products.
