My DH got his credit report and found about 20-30 medical collections on his report from his psychotic, bipolar exwife. We can't pay them but we need them off his report. How would one go about disputing them or getting them taken off. She would go to different ER's and docs here in Texas about 20 times a month to get stadol, nubane, and lithium shots among others. It gets expensive. They had BCBS that paid for most of it which I thought they paid all. She won't help us pay them and they are on his credit making his scores go way down. PS...she has committed ID theft on him. She stole his van from him one time and we stole it back and I found about 50+ letters from merchants for hot checks she has written. She has about 5 CT's against her as well. She keeps getting out of it because her parents are millionaires. Shoot, if I had done that once I would be in jail and they would throw away the key. He went to jail one time for a hot check she wrote forging his signature. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Yes they were still married. I dont know how to tell who is responsible for them. She was the patient so wouldnt she be responsible?

i am trying to get medical bills off my credit right now. The two law firms I hired after accidnet, have done absolutely nothing for the last nine years. It has been that long since the accident and still bills on credit. As for your husband, I have been told if you were married at the time the bills were made, yes spouse is responsible. But, hey, I can be wrong.
