Hello, I have just discovered that my wife has a paid collection on her Equifax report ( from before we were married ) DOLA is june 1998 status date is jan 1999 the CA is Risk Management Alternatives. I tried searching on the board for paid collections and looking in the FAQ and it gave me a feeling that there is not much to do about it since the collection was paid. Does that mean automatically that it is "verified" ? It was a phone bill, my wife moved and she just forgot about it so she didnt even know it was in collection until she tried to open phone service again. So, is this phone bill going to weigh on her credit report for 7 years, starting jan 1999 ? Thank you, Ioan
