HELLO Creditnet, I'm new to the site and I have been reading through and through and have begun my credit journey. I just received a letter back from the CA stated they will agree to remove the account from the credit bureaus if I make the payment to their office by November 17th. Should I respond to this letter and send along with it the money order for payment? What should I say. I'm writing you as you have agreed to settle this debt upon receipt of payment and if you do not...blah, blah, blah? Or do I just keep the letter as my proof of commitment? Suggestions please
Send the money order with a copy of the letter they sent you.Stating that the endorsement of the money will pay in full and any neg info will be removed from the credit reporting agency's and will not be placed ontabove at any future time.
Since it was an official offer to remove the entry from your CRs IF you pay I don't see why you shouldn't pay them. But keep their letter, and check with the issuer of the money order about when it cleared, and possibly request a copy of that cleared money order. This is to prove it just in case they BS you.
