I have several questions. I need help on what to do next.

    1. Kohls: In two conversations with Kohls representatives, they reported to me over the phone that they do not report a 30 day late. In further conversation with them they said my account was re-aged but that they do not report any late's unless the account is 60 days late and the account was not 60 days late. I faxed them my request to update the bureaus and just received a response that said the reporting is accurate and "updated the information as you have requested will create an in accurate representation of the status of your account with us" What do I do next?
    2. Union 76: I had a 30 day late and sent a goodwill letter taken verbatim from this forum and received a letter back from them saying that do not know what I am asking for. In a nutshell I asked them to forgive the 30 day late due to personal issues etc... What do I do next?
    3. Home Depot: In correctly placed a purchase in regular credit instead of "promotional credit" of no interest no payments for one year. It was brought to Home Depot's attention multiple times and they said they placed the purchase under the promotional credit but did not remove the late marks as stated they would. BTW the promotional credit items were paid off before the date. What do I do next?
Thanks so much for your help!

1.) I'm assuming this account currently shows as a 30-day late on your credit reports? Was it really 30 days late? If not, dispute it as incorrect through the CRAs and await their response. If it was 30-days late, then it sounds to me like you're going to just need to keep leaning on Kohls until you get them to actually fix it for you. Whoever you're talking to at Kohls, get them to provide you with the whole "we don't report until it's after 60 days" line in writing. Then hold them to it.

2.) I'm not sure why they would say they don't know what you're asking. You may want to try getting someone on the phone to see if you can sweet talk them based upon how good of a customer you are....loyal, always made payments on time except for just this one, etc.

3.) Once again, this sounds like something you're going to have to work out directly with Home Deport or the credit card issuer that handles their program. If it was their mistake, they need to fix it. This isn't affecting your credit reports, right? I'm assuming you paid everything off, but perhaps you had to pay some extra interest on this purchase that you shouldn't have had to pay?

1.) Kohl's: I will call again and send a goodwill letter. Two prior phone calls with customer services confirmed there was not a 30 day late.

2.) Union 76: I have tried talking to them on the phone several times; I will try again and ask for the 60 days late issue in writing. If that does not work I will attempt a goodwill letter again. Different letter, different person?

3.) Home Depot: This is affecting my husband's credit. We owe them nothing. We paid the account off prior to the promotion. Home Depot/Citibank is not acknowledging their mistake. My husband wants to take it up with the local Home Depot where the purchase was made. I am surprised at their lack of wanting to look at the whole issue and accept responsibility. This is being reported as a 30, 60 and 90 day late.

Should I contact the bureaus one more time and ask them how they verified? I am confused about that procedure. When should that be done?

On another note, a goodwill letter to Chevron removed a $3 charge off.

One last thing, why is Equifax scores lower than the others? Do more creditors report only to Equifax?

    Thanks again for your help.
