It has been almost 2 weeks since I sent the goodwill adjustment letter to ANBCC asking/begging to remove the lates out of my credit report.

If for some reason that won't work, what should I do?

I've got the collection deleted on EX (well CA asked me to dispute it) and Discover account deleted on EQ and TU - EX shows open/never late paid as of 4/2001 (still don't know if that hurts me or not) so I still have this ANBCC with 5 lates up to 120 days. I've paid it off on 1/2002 after not agreeing to settle (on 4/2001) and every time I dispute it (1 time after paid off, 3 times within last year) they keep veryfing. The last late payment was in 1/2001. Since then I was making payments as agreed - more then minimums until paid off.

    What should I do?

    Thanks

Getting rid of that account or making it positive would put me on the start line one more time (basically). Soon I'll have 3 positive accounts - one closed (paid off personal loan), one personal loan with CITI and BofA credit card. Last 2 haven't started reporting yet.

First of all, wait for your response from ANBCC. Give them another 2-3 weeks (I have learned nothing gets it done under 30 days).
Since you paid off the balance last month wait a month and then begin disputing (if the letter didn't work). They have your money and after awhile will get tired of verifying it over and over again.

OK, it is 03/19 and still no reply. Should I maybe PFB them? Or just wait another week (since my mail gets forwarded and it takes about a week to come in) and start disputing?

    Thanks

In addition: should I dispute them late or not mine ?

I meant NOT LATE or NOT MINE :) Sorry for the bad spelling. By the way, I just talked to Experian and asked if ANBCC contacted them to correct the INCORRECT info and she said: no they have not. I asked what should I do then? And she said she will dispute it again. So I requested a procedure info(how they verified, etc.) so I supposedly will have better way of finding the right dept to have the bad info corrected, etc. - Nice story :)

I hope that may work. At least I hope it will. I just don't think that all those 3 keep verifying the info and keep changing the number of lates, dates on them, etc even though I was late just 5 times ON THE SAME DATES when I WAS LATE ! LOL

So seems to me like it is a game played nicely by CRA's.

    Any thoughts ?

    Thanks

I decided to do a follow up, even though nobody seem to want to reply to my posts :(

Anyway, it's been 2 months now since I sent the "goodwill adj" letter to Associates National Bank (Delaware) - NO ANSWER. Didn't check my report, never called me, never mailed anything back. Should I sent it again? Maybe I was given a wrong address or something? ANBCC was took over by Citibank so maybe that coused the problem.

What should I do? Should I PFB'd them?

I called Experian and started asking what am I supposed to do with them and the lady said: ohh I'm sorry to hear that and redisputed it again. It's been couple of months since paid off so maybe that will work.

    Please help.

If you didn't get a response from the first address then I would try again to a diferent address. Even though MBNA rejected me that is what I did till I got a response.

Fax your letter to (302)286-8251, Attention: Credit Bureau Disputes.

Also, you may want to call the Office of the President: (302)286-8002

    Thanks guys for replies.

Call the office of the president and say what? Ask them to receive the fax or tell them what I wrote in the letter?

I'm sorry for asking but I've never done anything like it and really don't know how to act.

    Thank you

    No word from anyone :(

I thought they will call me or something.

Anyway, if TU and EX have that account under reinvestigation, do you think it may affect the decision that ABCC/Citibank will be making ??

    Thanks
