I just checked my FICO score and I noticed that one of my negative accounts lists 16 times 30 days late. The thing is that they list 3 dates in 1997 and 13 unknown dates...

What should I do? I've disputed several times and they come back verified. I've called the original Creditor and they say that they only can provide the # of times late because the record is so old, but they refuse to delete. Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

I would ask the CRA what dates do they have for the lates. If the account was charged off, then the CRA must know in order to determine how long the account is to be reported.

They have the last date of activity as April 1997. The account was not charged off - it was actually eventually paid in full. I'm just wondering how I can get them to remove the other 13 that they don't have specific dates for. It seems wrong that they can just put down a number without records of the dates.

    Thanks for responding Love.

    Hey Shop,

Dispute on the grounds that "I know FOR A FACT that I was NOT late on those unknown dates".

    HAHAHA

    It'll work

LOL.. That's hillarious Butch.. But I will try it, what the heck. They will probably come back and verify that the dates are unknow so the entry stays.

I know there are a couple of other people with the same problem, so I will keep you all posted..

    Thanks!
