I DISPUTED A CHARGE OFF ON EQ. IT IS NOT A CHARGE OFF IT WAS DISCHARGED UNDER BK BEFORE THE CA EVEN MADE IT A CHARGE OFF. I TALKED TO THE CA ON THURSDAY AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW IT WAS ON BK. THAT IS A LIE BECAUSE THEY HIRED A ATTORNEY A YEAR AGO AND WE HAD TO TAKE THE COPY OF BK TO THEUR ATTORNEY. NOW EQ SAYS IT HAS BEEN VERIFIED AS A CHARGE OFF. WHAT DO I DO NOW? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! OH YEA I CALLED THEIR ATTORNEY THURSDAY ALSO AND THEY RE-FAXED THE INFORMATION TO THEM. I THOUGHT WHEN YOU FILED BK YOU DEBTS WERE WIPED CLEAN JUST LISTED AS BK.

Send a procedural request to the CRA...when they reply it will show who they allegedly verified with at the CA. Meanwhile send a validation letter to the CA. When you get the complete evidence trail, or get no reply (CRRR and lack of green card or no validation) then file small claims court for violations of the FCRA.

You already have the BK evidence..therefore it is a no-brainer to show a court how ineptness is resulting in erroneous information on your report.

Thanks! Where do I get an idea of how to write these letters. Is there a web site can go to to get an idea?

Sure, there are plenty of "template" samples in the CreditNet Sample Section or you can Search for validation examples that others have posted. When searching for letters, I recommend "key word" searching for things like:

    validation AND "dear sir"
    or
    validation AND "to whom"

You get the idea...That gets me some good examples, but the templates in the sample section are fine to use. Change things to relate to your situation, but make sure you keep the specific information, and requests as they are in the examples.

    Good Luck
