Ok I have been reading this and negotiating while paying some debts for removal and also disputing some stuff.. As of last night my credit is up 69 points since march... i went up from 509 starting. All that is left on Equifax is a credit card I charged off at 650 and it is now 945 after fees... and a paid off collection from MCM.. but experian keeps putting my maiden name as my main name and my married name as a former name and an address from 3 1/2 yrs ago ___________________ Experian as of 4/14 Dont know their score but they have the paid MCM and a RJM for 108 from wash mutual... they are offering to settle for 54 and an old southwestern bell with porfolio acquisitions for 338 they have my name right but the address from 3 1/2 yrs too _________ transunion dont know my score also as of 4/14 dsrm same as equifax 947 2 paid medicals FMA alliance that they took off my other 2 reports but not this one MCM paid off collection and the unpaid RJM for 108 they are the only ones who could get my name and address right _________ what next? __________ with a 578 Equifax can i get a CC to help out... I have nothing good on there
truecredit.com is great for monitoring what's on your reports. The scores aren't worth the ink it takes to print them out.
i called fma and they said they will call me back mon abt taking off the 2 medicals since they promised me that although i was stupid and didnt get her name or it in writing.... but it came off the other 2. I did transunion truecredit today... and they are showing my equifax score as 598 and equifax is showing me 578.... which is more accurate or has equifax maybe not updated yet
The only real score is from myfico. There is a link here on the board to get a deal. While truecredit is good for monioring, you need to get your individual reports from each bureau to see how everything is reporting.
Minimal hyjack here! I understand that getting your fico scores are the only accurate scores. But when you say to get your individual reports from each bureau, does myfico.com account for those also? I mean when you pay for your reports and scores from myfico, is this considered getting each report from the bureau or should you actually order them seperatly from each bureau and have them mailed to you or can you print the ones from myfico and this is considered the same thing? I've always been confused on this.
Any of the reports that are "trimerge" (the 3-in-1 reports) don't have all of the information. I'm not sure what you get from myfico, but I'm assuming it's some sort of trimerge. I would get the individual reports from each bureau. Either have them mailed to you or go to the individual sites and get them online, but get a separate report from each bureau.
Hedwig is correct. For scoring purposes, get MyFico. The board has discounts for these I believe so click on the link at the top of the forum. Don't purchase your scores from Experian or Trans Union when you get your reports from them. They're not FICO's.
