    Hello Everyone!

    1. Collection record appeared in March 2002

    2. I sent validation letter which they received on March 15

    3. I disputed with CRAs at the same time. EQF verified, Transunion dropped the account.

    4. They failed to mark the account disputed for the first 30 days after receiving my validation and beginning of April the account appeared on EXP too with NO STATUS

    5. On April 16 2002 I send the estoppel letter. Still no communication from them. The same day I disputed it with EXP too and send a procedure validation letter to EQF.

It has been about 50 days now since the first validation letter and still nothing from them. I know I have at least 3 violations on them. I really want this account off my credit reports though. What should I do? By the way it is almost 6 years old (out of SOL in 5 months - as they report it since I didn't even remeber this account).

    Thank you!
    Mark

Either send Estopple letter with intent to sue, give them 30 more days and file with your small claims court for the MAX, or if you think your paper trail is enough evidence now, skip the estopple part and just file. Make sure you have them properly served and you should quickly have results.
