What to do with TransUnion now

I need some advice, I have dug through a lot of the messages here and I have some ideas, but I would like to know what some of the 'vetrans' would recommend as my next course/courses of action.

    1. I mailed TransUion dispute letters on 8/15/03.
    2. I received a letter from TansUnion on 8/26/03 stating they thought I hired a CRO and that they dismissed all of my disputes as frivilous and irrelevant.
    3. I mailed TransUnion a hand written letter on 8/30/03 telling them there was no third party involvement and to investigate as they were required to by law, as my disputes were valid. ( I included copies of my original disputes- NO information added)
    4. I received a letter from TransUnion on 9/17/03 stating that they didn't receive my original disputes until 9/08/03 and that I sent them additional info on 9/15/03 granting them an additional 15 days of investigation and that they would conclude investigation on 10/21/03
    5. On 9/23/03 I wrote them telling them they sent me a letter on 8/26/03 so I know they received the disputes then NOT 9/08/03, which would conclude thier investigation on 9/26/03, and since I did not send them ANY additional info they were not allowed 15 extra days. I told them I expected all investigations to be comcluded by 9/26/03 and that I wanted a response from them on the findings of that investiagation no later than 10/03/03. Which is today.

Now....I might go home after work and find a nice letter from TransUnion about thier investigation. But... I doubt it. On Monday I have the feeling that it's back to the drawing board... What should be my next step with TU? Filing a complaint with FTC for willful-noncompliance? Writing yet another letter to TU demanding results? Filing a case in small claims court( honestly don't know if I have a case against them)...All three? Something else entirely?
    Help.
    Thanks!!!!!!!

Do you have the receipts (green cards) as proof that they received a letter on a certain day?

no just the dates on the letters they sent me. I have recently started doing CRRR. But, unfortunately at beginning, I wasn't smart enough to use CRRR.

Yeah, you'll need to send every letter CMRRR to these guys. I would send out another validate letter CMRRR. As you probably know, the purpose is to set up the paper trail.

Won't they take my threats as empty and continue to jerk me around if I don't follow thru with what I put in my letter...i.e. filing complaint with FTC?

You're right in that they won't be taking you very seriously. Since they've dismissed your disputes as frivolous, you may have to seriously consider legal action as your next alternative.

Give them one last opportunity to get into compliance with the law(s) that you believe they're not complying with. There are sample intent to sue letters on the site that you can peruse.

Well, I wrote the FTC today and included copies of all of our correspondence. I also wrote Transunion and told them they had 15 days from receipt of letter to send me a report on the findings of the dispute investigations as well as procedures they used to obtain verification if the account were indeed verified, or I would sue. So... I guess the count down has begun. I'm sick of writing them letters. It shouldn't be our responsibility to spend hours writing letters to correct false info on our credit. It should be thier responsibility to make sure all info is correct that they report. I'm peeved about all of this. It might have something to do with pregnancy hormones though... god help the credit bureau that continuously dismisses a preggo woman :)

"YOU" have to prove everything..."THEY" have to prove nothing!!!

A company could put on your credit report that you are 120 days late for a M/C card...BUT you never use M/C because you PREFER VISA!!!

So YOU have to prove that not only do you not know the company...you never had a M/C with that company...and you couldn't be late!!! (NO OTHER CARD IS LATE)

"THEY" have to have NO documentation before they report to a CRA...THEY JUST DO IT!!! (or the computer does it)
