Creditnetters out there, i'm seeking some advice....

I cosigned for a 'friend' back in '99 on a auto deal which went sour, i'm the maker, pymts weren't being made, had to voluntary repo the car....

What happened next? It showed on my c.rpt with as a voluntary repo, I8 status, $15,500.00 high credit and $14901.00 bal.!

Recently for the heck of it i disputed the voluntary repo with equifax (that the a/c was not mine), now that the investigation is complete and verified that the a/c is mine, my c.rpt shows charged off with a I9 status, $21934.00 high credit, $3357.00 bal. and 1time 30dys late....

Here's my query should i dispute the bal. amt which is way higher and seemingly incorrect in the hopes that this will increase my credit score or even remove the charge off from my report or simply dont investigate further?

*****Equifax 670-prior to the investigation, now? Only fico knows!*******

    MO :)
