What would be more beneficial, pay a credit card that is $200 over limit or pay off a card that has a $200 balance?

    thanks,

Pay off the overlimit your throwing 30 dollars a month away use the extra 30 dollars to pay on the 200 balance.

Being over the limit is said to be its own FICO point deduction as well.

And as jgross stated, it would be a smart financial decision to get rid of the over limit fees. Regardless of FICO.

There used to be a poster that has a quote "buy food not FICO!"

Good advice--pay off the overlimit first.
