I need to know if there's a legal difference between "account included in" vs "discharged through". I'm trying to deal with a bank on SL's in a BK. They say "account included in" means I don't have to pay them, but "discharged through" means I do. Ironically, EQ says "account included in" and EX says "discharged through". Both reporting $0.00 balance. EX rep says that they verified $0.00 balance. TU deleted.

I'd gladly pay them back if they'd remove BK, but bank is refusing. (It's a relatively small amount and well worth it to have the age.) I can always do a goodwill for lates later on;-).

    TIA

I haven't been through this so please forgive if this is an ignorant response, but could you just ask your BK attorney ? Isn't that the kind of question that they should handle free of additional charge from your original filing? If not, you might want to do a google search or call an attorney in your yellow pages that advertises free consultation.

    Good luck - sounds frustrating!

Well, I did call my attorney. I found out that we didn't file for the hardship for SL's. (Anybody reading this should note that you can file BK with SL's included if the attorney does additional hardship paperwork.)I am responsible for paying. The bank is refusing to change CR's. So I'm going to locate a number and or address for President of bank. If I'm paying, then I want the credit and the age of the accounts. I'm going to semi-validate using FCRA guidelines, since they are incorrect.

This is my biggest headache yet.
