I need help in knowing what to dispute on EQ and how quickly: 4 collections ranging from $94 to $362. 1 charge-off (auto loan that we paid off last October) for about $1700. What would you dispute first and why? Or would you dispute all 5 at once? Thanks for your advice!
Well I disputed 7 things on my transunion, 5 out of 7 dropped. It worked for me, but I have the Power of the Kiyi.
I personally wouldn't send more than 2 disputes per letter. You can send a letter snail mail, fax or dispute online. You don't want to alert the CRA's that you are doing "credit repair". Charlie
So, would you find it OK to send 2 via the web, 2 on the phone, 1 via mail? Wouldn't they all go into the system (a few days apart) and then the system would kick out a "credit repair" alert? Does anyone have some solid experience in this?
i would do like kiyi and dispute them all at once. when results come back, i would send a procedure letter. I haven't heard of anyone being accused of using a cro during a first round of disputes. even, if they did send you the "magic letter" they still have to investigate.
UHACKTHIS, I strarted working on my credit about 4 months ago, the first round of diputes I put in, I put into Trans-Union. I disputed about 12 items on my report all at once. granted I got 8 deleted and 1 re-insertion,but The second time I disputed one of the items they verified, they came back to me and said it was frivilous and that they already verified it once, so essentially I think they have caught on to me, I have since diputed with experian and equifax with no problems. about 1 deletion each and I sent in to both of them about 6 items to be disputed. I'm learning that it may be better just to send in maybe a few at a time (ex. 2 or 3 at a time). I'm making progress, but it is very slow because I believe like I stated above they are catching on to me.,, but no matter. I will continue to do whatever it takes to get satisfaction. weather they like or not. They are definately bound by FTC laws, so there are some things they have to do, weather they want to or not, unless they want to sued!! kathy
