Ok Everyone, I just found this site about a month ago and have been reading it daily. Seems like I have come to the right place. You guys rock! Here's my situation. I have sent out 4 validation letters on june 6. Followed up with 2nd letter july 7, sent all green cards and letter demanding removal to CRB on July 24. EQ listed accounts as "in dispute" TU and EX sent letters saying they needed copies of utility bills and DL to verify identity. I sent them a copy of water bill and DL with signature covered. Along with this, I also sent a letter explaining that I have sent them this info 30 days prior and if they don't remove, my next step is going to be a lawsuit. Still no response! We are now approching 90 days and I have accomplished nothing. Any advice on where to go from here? I have read threads about filing complaints with BBB,AG,FTC. Can anyone steer me in the direction on how to go about finding and how to file complaints correctly? I live in MO, if that means anything. Thanks for any and all help, this board has been a godsend for me as far as motivation to finally take control of my credit woes!
I would threaten to sue if action is not taken within a specific timeframe and then if nothing is done, file suit.
