I've sent 2 Validation requests to a CA. The first one in march, and the second one in April. Finally I received a letter and copies of an old invoice. Now I know this does not come close to validation, but what do I do next? I've been searching for some direction for quite sometime and trying to come up with a letter, but just dont know where to start. Your help is always appreciated. Thank You
Well, there is a lot of information that would help coming up with a game plan. #1) what type of an account is it? #2) how old is it? #3) is it beyond the SOL? There are a number of tactics which people can use, I usually send a letter stating that 'what you sent was not validation, here is a copy of the Wollman Opinion (if they only sent a printout).' or something along that lines, is the account is past the SOL, then you can just send the time-barred c&d.

I might have missed something aleady mentioned here but seems to me you said he already knew your phone number address and all before he contacted your neighbors. If that is true then he has no legal right to call your neighbors at all. Contacting 3rd parties about you is only legal for tracing purposes so if he already knew all about you then he had no lawful purpose in contacting them.
