I have almost all my bills paid off, of those that are, what is the chance that I can get them taken off my credit file? I actually called one of my creditors and they told me they had no record of my accounts I gave to them.

    what do you think?

    Thanks

are you talking about a positive tradeline?
most accounts can hang around for decades.

    Hi,

Is it too late to write to them and ask for them to be deleted upon payment?

I know you lose power to bargain once you have paid them off.

    Is that what you mean?

yeah that is what I mean.

like I said they had no record of those accounts when I asked, so i was just wandering if I could get them taken completely off.

I'm new to all this so I'm trying to all the info I can. I'm reading like crazy.

if they truely have no record. I don't see how it could be verified.

If they have no record of you ever having an acct with them, you need to ask them to send you letter stating that. Then, fax that letter to the cra's with a note disputing the acct. as not mine. They "should" delete it quickly.
