    Just reading posts from the board Target, Radio Shack, and Macy's are all pretty easy to get. Personally, I got a May's Department Store card(Hechts, Lord & Taylor, Strawbridge) with only eight months of credit history and two major credit cards (back in 97). Good luck.

    My sister never had a cc in her life and all three of her reports were 100% blank.

    She was approved instantly for a Capital One Kmart card which is also a Mastercard with a $300 limit ($300 for Kmart purchases/$200 for regular Mastercard purchases)

    My Equifax has only one item on it: an old collection account that's nearing 7 years old, Experian has 2 inactives since the early '90s accounts and the derog above; and my TU has that same derog plus a 5 year old 30 day late on a car.

    I got approved instantly for Kmart Mastercard and Target ($300) about two weeks ago.

    Well, with my last Equifax score of 573, I just got approved online (200 CL). I guess it's not all bad.

    Will any of these retailers give me a card without a current credit card and a few old overdue bills? Or should I wait until I get better established?

    Thanks Y'all.

    Just approved for the following:

    Taget ==$200 cl
    Kmart MC==$200 instant CL for online shopping
    ($4 p/m membership fee and CL info will come in the mail)

    Is the membership fee standard?

    (I did not want to waste the inquiry)

    Quite a few actually (not current, but unpaid past due collections) and one unpaid judgement. I'm not sure which report they pulled (won't find out until I get my disputes back), but I believe they pulled Equifax. My credit is FAR from stellar, which I guess is one reason I'm quite surprised I got approved. But, as long as they report, now I've got another positive trade-line to my benefit (in 6-12 months at least).
