I got my "denial letter" from Citibank today (they pulled TU). It had a number to call, cause I was denied due to income. I called them and asked if I should use my income or my FAMILYS income. They said combine my hubbys and mine. I have an R5 Cap. One card (was an R9) and a charge off for $125 (it shouldn't be reporting, got a letter from the creditor). The woman said they will now look into my "file" and re-evaluate. I have 10 positive tradelines (TU just took off my oldest tradeline for no reason), 8 inquiries in the last 2 years, and the 2 neg accts mentioned above, its being reported that I am at 80% usage, but I'm at about 40% in reality. Has this happened to anyone? Did anyone get the card? I really really really want this card, it was for the CitiAA Gold.
    Thanks,

I always include the partners income for citi. This brings us into the 6 figure range (by a dollah :)

I figured most people that apply to them register a 50-100K/year household income.

I won't tell you to lie, but i know they don't verify the "household" income.

I told them 60K....is that enough? I make 32K and they said it wasn't enough for mine alone.

FYI for anyone interested in Citibank who isn't sure which bureau they pull from. The rep told me that they pull from the credit bureau closest to where the person lives. AND I just checked TU and they pulled another HARD inquiry for this same app. PISS ME OFF!!! Thank god I can dispute these inquiries in a month or so.

well a 540 score is really low to get a citi product. 600's if you don't have anything recent is reasonable..

Seems like that might be pretty standard. I live in Atlanta and nearly all of my inquiries that show are on Equifax. Although I know TU also has an office in Hotlanta, it's in the next building over from my boyfriend's job.
