Ok... What is up with experian.. Is it them or the creditors? My current open accts with balances show almost no updates since january... See below... This is totally affecting my score with them because I have paid off about 7k of what I owe to cc's... Any ideas? I already disputed amex since they are the worst balance-wise for me right now.

    AES 1/03
    AMEX 1/03
    CHASE 2/03
    Universal/Citi 12/02

BE VERY CAREFUL...I lost AMEX BLUE off EXPERIAN (FOREVER)...all I did was say "CREDIT LIMIT IS $15,500 NOT N/A"

This is my first time posting here, but you post caught my eye, because I, too, am extremely frustrated with experian. I disputed $0 balance on an item they have a $350 balance on (I have not owed a dime on this account in at least three years!) It came back verified as correct! I can't believe it. Balance is $0 on my other two reports and I KNOW my balance is $0---what is up with those people????

    Feeling you pain, (LOL)

    luckymom,

My EXP is the most up to date too, and EQ has gotten close, it has only one account that is not reporting correct.

TU? Don't even get me started...

HA! My score on exp is 666 also... kinda weird, huh? I racked up a grand or so in charges this last month and as soon as these report I know my score will drop... strangely looking forward to the drop just cause my score won't be 666 anymore :)

My experience with Experian is that their "verification" process is to just echo whatever a creditor tells them, and most creditors don't check their records, they just check the "verified" box on the request form. I swear, Experian would put "verified" next to an entry that said "The Earth is Flat and the Moon is made of Cream Cheese" if a creditor said it.

Exp has ALWAYS verified the unverifiable with us. Crappy crappy...

Hesitant on requesting further investigation. Wasnt sure if doing so would stir OC's in reporting on other two reports that had nearly all derogs deleted. Silly, I know.

Anyone had a proceudral request work as far as getting them to admit/provide evidence that no investigation was done or that the proper questions werent asked.

Funny...this is how it seems to work, such as when verifiying 0 balance info or c/l:

EXP: Does Ms. XX have an account?
    OC: Yes.
EXP: Thank you. Have a nice day
Results: OC did not verify limit for tl...item deleted
    or:
Results: OC verified balance of 5k...item remains

This is a buncha hooey, but this is how they do it...I spoke with a ca and this is what they told me when I called them after having an item verified that the ca sent a cancellation for.

Now, not everyone does this, but it happens quite often...especially when it is the LAST derog to come off.
