Sorry for having so many posts at the same time, but here goes... I have a 2.5k CL Fleet Cash Rebate card. I hate Fleet but I still use the card until I get a new one. Anyway, I just checked online and my balance is ($150.84), meaning I overpayed at one point and am carrying a negative balance - does this hurt my score/rating? Also, my main question is why is my available credit also in the negative? It is being reported as ($86.00). Can I only spend up to my CL each month, even if I pay it back? Has their site not updated? And trust me guys, I'm not confusing negative and positive. Maybe I'm missing some basic thing about credit cards which I didn't know?
Re: What's up with my Fleet account For sure. Don't do any business with Fleet & F.USA. They are the Cross Country of prime credit. Saar
Re: What's up with my Fleet account Do you recommend closing my account with them or should I just keep them open and don't use them? Fleet truly sucks, when I checked my credit reports online it said that my Fleet account was closed at the creditor's request, which is ridiculous because I constantly use their card. I applied for their Cash Rebate card but I'm not so sure that I'm under it because when I called the woman on the phone seemed uncertain which card I was under. How can I confirm what card I'm under? Conveniently, the card they issue is generic and doesn't say anything but Fleet on it. My theory as to why they closed my account was that they wanted to transfer me to a regular card without me knowing so that I wouldn't be earning cash rebates. As you all know, they did switch their policy recently from 2% to 1%. Any recommendations as to calling them? Also, can anyone get to the bottom of why my available credit is negative?
Re: What's up with my Fleet account Typical. They won't let you charge until the credit-balance is gone. Saar
Re: What's up with my Fleet account Write them and ask them to send you a check for the credit balance?
Re: What's up with my Fleet account So I'm almost in a catch-22, because to get my balance into the positive I need to spend money, but I can't spend money because my available credit is negative. Yeah, I'll need to call those idiots up.
