I would like to do a little analysis and see, what kind of credit leads to high scores.

    I currently have:

    4 open credit cards
    1 mortgage
    1 car loan
    1 student loan

Revolving Credit utilization~80% (need to get that paid down)

Scores are: TU 761, EX 685, EQ 695

All reports are clean, no lates

You basically hit it on the head with "need to get that paid down." Several people on the board said that FICO loves a utilization under i think 30-33%. I think you are doing well because my utilization is at 55%, with FICO scores 610-650 (depending on which report) with no derogatory/negative/late marks. Also, I find that veterans with 15+ years of GOOD credit history have a minimum of 700 fico. In a nutshell I think having sufficient credit history, little/none/aged derogatory marks and espically LOW utiliazation play a big part.

On EQ, I have no derogs, about 10 years of credit history, 8 open accounts of various types and 14 total accounts in the history (open and closed) and about 44% utilization.

    FICO is 720.

    These threads are great.

I have NO derogs except for the fact that I have a short account history, plenty of inquiries, and really short average age of accounts (recovering credit junkie) I have paid everything off completely and am curious to see what happens when the accounts update.

    29 total accounts
    1 installments/28 revolving
