What's your Dream Card and Limit? Hi Gang! I thought about this question today to try and establish a true measure of credit success. I have the department store cards covered, Platinum is now covered (it's in the mail), even a Smart Card (Fleet Fusion). But, the icing on the cake, the strawberry atop the sundae, the card of cards...SOUND THE TRUMPETS... for me... would be...DRUM ROLL... AMERICAN EXPRESS BLUE with no pre-set spending limit. I know, I should be ashamed for mentioning their name after what they put me through. But, nonetheless, this is my dream. I hope to make it come true in March of 2002! CardKid
Re: What's your DREAM CARD? CardKid- My goal for the CC One CC with a $10k limit Amex Green or Gold Amex Optima Plat or Blue Not too tough. Best regards, Sam Nothing like spending a sunny afternoon surfing creditnet.com and watching a baseball game on TV. Best regards, Sam
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? Heck, you guys are thinking small. My dream card would be no limit, no payments until you are dead, and Uma Thurman (wearing nothing but a smile) delivers all of your on-line purchases.
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? CREDIT LIMIT CHOSEN BY CUSTOMER... INTEREST RATE NOT TO EXCEED PRIME RATE... FREE BALANCE TRANSFERS... NO ANNUAL FEE... BANKS WILLING TO INCREASE CREDIT LINE ANY TIME YOU TELL THEM TO (NO QUESTIONS)... IF A MILEAGE CARD...NO LIMIT TO MILES EARNED... AND A "REAL" IDEA OF WHAT GOLD, PLATINUM, TITINUM, ETC. SHOULD REALLY MEAN NO $200 GOLD...
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? ...ALSO A POLICY THAT SAYS IF YOU HAVE NO CARDS BELOW $5,000 CREDIT LINE, A BANK CAN NOT GIVE YOU A CARD WITH A CREDIT LINE OF $500!!!!
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? That's excellent Lizard. I started back in March of last year with Lexington Law. I followed your lead on the Fleet Bank card but opted for the Smart Fusion over the Platinum. Maybe that's why they only gave me 4k. I can't complain. Before that, my highest line was only $2,200. As for Amex, the analyst told me to wait until a student loan collection account ($0 balance) ages two years (March 2002) to get BLUE. Blame it on Experian's memory ;-( Anyway, 30k over 3 cards in less than a year is nothing short of phenomenal. I'm inspired! But, Amex Black (Centurian)? I saw something on Dateline a few months ago about that exclusive card. It has a $1,000 annual fee. But, the perks are first class all the way. CardKid
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? I agree w/ GEORGE! I think my dream card is Am/Ex Platinum Charge. I would say Black but realistically that's never going to happen unless I win the lottery. Platinum is still in reaching distance. My other card is a Citibank card w/ high limit. Right now I'm at $1200! :-\ I would like $5k and up. But Citi limit would depend on my financial status at the time. I wouldn't want a $20k limit when I make $30k/yr. Get it?
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? MY DREAM IS AMEX ANYTHING. MY GOAL FOR THE REST OF 2001 IS TO IMPROVE THAT FICO OF MINE AND TO GET AMEX........BY 12/2001 I WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO REPORT.
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? Does AMERICAN EXPRESS offer BLUE with no pre-set spending limit? Never heard of it. AZMDX
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limi No it doesn't. Only charge cards offer no pre-set spending limits. Amex Blue is a credit card.
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limi Ooops! You're right. Blue is a credit card. The line can be up to 100k. That's what I get for dreaming. CardKid
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limi AMEX Blue is a great card, but my dream card would have these features: Excellent Customer Service and Worldwide Acceptance 0% intro APR for 1 year, 9.9% thereafter High Credit Line No Annual Fee No Cash Advance or BT fees No Foreign Transaction fee 30 day Grace Period for Purchases, BT, Cash Advances Rewards Program (points that have no limit and never expire) Concierge Service All the usual Gold and Platinum benefits
Re: What's your DREAM CARD? I will never know the ecstasy of carrying the Cross Country Gold, but I did have the extreme honor of lugging two (count 'em, two!) highly prized Silver Preferred cards around for quite awhile. Having two of those did not double my fun. But it did make my Cross Country experience twice as painful and ten times more difficult to terminate. Plus, my puppy was kidnapped.
Re: What's your Dream Card and Limit? DaveLV, I like your style....the above all sounds good to me, except with a small substitution of Mel Gibson or Sean Connery (or what the heck, why not both...I can dream) for Ms. Thurman! Cheers, Cindy
Re: What's your DREAM CARD? WHO IS...Uma Thurman (wearing nothing but a smile) ???? GUESS I DON'T WATCH THE RIGHT TV SHOWS...
