my husband filed BK before we were married 8/02, discharged in 11/02. i had my credit ran for mortgage loan (GMAC) , they ran his too, even though he wouldnt be applying, it would be my credit only. (can they do that? she knew he had a bk) anyways, on his credit report, we found a debt from a hospital in '98, sent to collections..for $516. it was a debt that his exwife had when she went to hospital, they were split in process of divorce. he had gotten no bills or anything from this hospital or collection agency, and it was a debt that SHE was suppose to take care of, but used his ss# to make him liable. he called his bk attorney, they will stick it on the bk. but my question is, can hospital or ca do that to him without any giving him any info? should i call ca and tell them that is was going on his bk anyways, and give them his ex's address heeheee (my personal fave idea) ...what would you all do?
Its twisted how you can go into a hospital and basicall name ANYONE as being responsible for the bill. My next visit (hopefully I will have none), I will name Bill Clinton or Jennifer Lopez as the responsible party, lol.
no, she wasnt. took her off after he found her screwing around on him. should i call ca and tell them where to find her? attorney is adding it in his bk anyways...and since she went, wont they go after her now? yeah, its sick and scary that anyone can be named...
