    Hi Everyone,
I have a question. When does a bankruptcy completely come off your credit report? I filed for bankruptcy on 11-95. It was discharged on 3-96.
I had recently tried to get a Wal-mart Chase card. After calling to inquire about the status of my application, I was told that I was declined solely for a 7 year old bankruptcy. Since it is almost exactly 7 years now, should it be coming off any day now?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy does not fall off for 10 years on your credit report. I know...I have one!

a 7 falls off in 10 years from the date of filing and a 13 falls off in 7 years.

    Best regards,
