It is legal, and it can be illegal. You have to be more specific.

    Before or after validation?
Have you ever heard from them?

When was the validation letter signed for?

Mar 29 - if they had received letter - violation
phone calls - violation all would be continued collection activity.

Many are stating that if you sue them - no matter the number of violations the amount is still $1000 max for damages.

They pulled an inquiry before I validated them, so from what I'm understanding from your post it is legal?

So is it $1000 per violation or $1000 total? (Just wondering because CA just pulled my TU and EXP reports, AFTER signing for my val. letter)

Can a CA legally pull your CR, soft or hard after the SOL has run out?

Yes. A CA can still attempt to collect after SOL has run out, you just have no obligation to pay.
