If the last date to report an item is 01/08, does that mean that it will drop off of your report on 1/1/08 or 1/31/08 or sometime in between? I have the very last items from our bk in 1/01 that will be aging off. These are the die hards, the ones that I could never get deleted through the normal means. I am so excited!

    Dispute them as "obsolete".

Generally the "scheduled to be removed" items are done at the start of a month. This is a "CYA" move for the reporting agencies. Sometimes, it does take until the end of the month.

I know you're anxious, but give to the end of the month to check your credit reports, if they're still there, then dispute as "obsolete".

If you do submit a dispute as "obsolete", is it a slam dunk dispute? Will they automatically take it off, or are you in for yet another fight?

If the age is correct (>7 years), then it is a "slam dunk". These aged account deletions are usually automatic. I don't think you have to worry.
