I requested validation of a collection account. Got green cards back. My credit report still shows collection, no notation to the effect that it is disputed. Isn't my credit report suppose to reflect that it is disputed? If so, when is the CA suppose to report that information? When they receive the request for validation or anytime within 30 days of receipt? If they don't notate this, is this a violation?

Good question. I did 2 online disputes with Trans Union 2 weeks ago - they don't show as disputed by consumer. If you do online disputes through Equifax they immediately show as disputed.

The CA is supposed to notify the CRA's in a timely manner but I am not sure what the time limit is.
