Did you just let it lapse (like with a one-time CC#), or did you call in to cancel?

I used a one-time CC number and figured they'd just cancel me when the charge got denied. (my trial should have ran out in September)

On a whim I logged in today, and my membership is still active. D'oh!

I love the service, but not at $90 / year. I find it surprising that they still have me enrolled months after my free trial expired but still haven't billed me.

Guess I better cancel it this afternoon.

Will they give me the hard sell when I cancel? I really hate those...

They will TRY to BACK-DATE you till SEPTEMBER (I ASSUME)

    $0.25/day sounds kinda CHEAP...(assuming 365)

I called the number to cancel

I thought I would just have to navigate through a menu system, but I actually spoke to a live person.

Yes they do try to "sell" you into keeping the service.
I kept bringing up the point that their system could never give me a credit score ( I have what is known as a "thin credit file"...always paid cash for things)

She kept telling me it was also good to track and see changes to my CR's which is true but not for $90 a year!

Finally I told her I was just too busy at work and that there were people in my office to see me (true), so she just said ok you are cancelled, here is a confirmation number of the cancellation for your records

Well, chalk one up to decent customer service.

The girl was very civil, took down my info and cancelled me without any drama.

I offered to pay for the extra days that I didn't deserve and she says don't even worry about it. I wish more people like that worked in customer service; my hat is off to PG.

I have to be the one to rock the boat I guess. I called to cancel also. They tried to sell me into keeping...I said no.

At the end of my trial...I got billed anyway. I called and told them that I cancelled within my first month, and the rep said "No you didn't, theres no record of it"...I guess the rep I talked to didn't do the cancellation right.

To make matters worse...they double charged me too... Believe it or not...I sent an ITS and a manager called me back. I got both fees back and told them their negligence cost me $70 in returned check fees and demanded that money back too. They gave it to me, but the late fees were a bluff...never happened.

Needless to say...I can't get another membership with them.

Moral of the story...do it in writing, for the papertrail!!

    Similar story here.

I cancelled PG, and they billed me anyway, twice. I just disputed it with BofA and the charges were credited back.

Couldn't get anywhere with PG's customer service.

I called and cancelled and went through the same song and dance with the csr. Very persistent, but very nice. I was concerned, however, about the billing so I emailed them with the confirmation number and said this will confirm the service is canceled and no additional charges will occur. They replied, confirmed everything in their reply and I have had no problems. (Signed up again with a different credit card, too).

I had a terrible experience with their supervisors also, they double charged me allbeit only two instances of 4 dollars and refused to remove the charge. I took the advice from the good people on this board and disputed the cahrges to my debit card and they gave me the money back.

I called today to cancell my wife, I sure way to find out if they cancelled. Simply log in and if you try to pull a report and they want to charge you 9.99 or what ever the fee is "I forget" then they cancelled your membership. Beleive it or not all tough they cancell the membership the account remains and u can still log in, but you have to purchase everithing once in there. It might take them a couple days to cancel the account, if they do not I would be calling them again.
