where can i get credit if i am

    I don´t have a parent who will co-sign or sign anything at all at this point in time and i would like to get a credit card. Where can i find a card? I have a job.

    The problem is that if you are under 18, you are legally a minor. This means that you are not legally obligated to pay any credit card debts that you may make, even if you sign an account agreement. That is why you can't get a credit card without a cosigner who is not a minor.

    If you are close to 18 then just wait. If you can't wait, then find a friend or uncle or someone willing to co-sign (even if only for $100 dollars which you could loan them in advance as security), then apply to the court to have tem established as legal guardian until you are 18. Couldn't hurt. - Jim

    Rose, Be patient. You have no business with a credit card. Wait till you can accept responsibility for it.
