What is the best way to get copies of all three of my credit reports, preferably online, if I don't have a checking account or credit card? My mother has said that I could use her credit card if necessary, but I was afraid they'd just be able to verify that the name on the card doesn't match the report that's being requested and they wouldn't accept the card. Am I correct in assuming this?
Do you mean a tri-merge report, or all the three individually? If 3 individually, go to each website: www.experian.com www.tuc.com www.equifax.com click on the appropriate links, and it should give you an address to send your info to with a check. As far as a tri-merge report, I really don't know how to order one without a card. Perhaps you can call equifax and ask them how to do it. I am guessing that with all the fraud online and with credit cards, they would probably be very careful making sure the card matches up with the name.
Re: Where to get copies of my repor Go to each bureau's website: www.equifax.com/ www.experian.com/ www.transunion.com/ They will give you full info on how to order your credit report via postal mail by sending a check or money order. As far as I know you can not order your own credit report using someone elses credit card. Alex -------------- Free Credit Repair Help! http://www.Creditinsiders.com
Re: Where to get copies of my repor Well, what I was hoping for was a way to get it online, i.e. immediately, as opposed to waiting for one by mail. It seems as if there isn't a way for me to do that, though. Oh, well. So, how long does it usually take to receive one by mail? And will these reports tell me my scores? If not, how do I find out my scores? By the way, thanks for all the info, everyone!
Re: Where to get copies of my repor If you go to truecredit.com, you can use someone else's credit card.
