Another question for y'all... Does anyone know where a person can get a free copy of their credit report(s) online, if the person does not have a credit card or a bank account?

At transunions site if check you are unemployed or were denied credit, you get a free report.

Just go to the main site and a box of question will come up at the bottom of the screen.

Do you really have to have been denied credit? Or do you just have to say you were?

My experience is that you just need to say that you have been adversely affected by the credit report furnished by the CRA. If you thought you can get a mortgage rate of 6%, but instead were approved for 7%, is that grounds for denial of your report that's due you? And how can CRA check if you got the exact same terms as you were expecting?

You just need to remember the name of a creditor who pulled your report within the last 3 months. Provide the name of that creditor; that's all.

I always checked I was unemployed and never had a problem.

I went straight through with no other verification needed.

Also, do a seach with the username: sam. He posted a link to a free EQ plus fico score. I think the offer may still be working. Might want to give it shot.
