I have had good luck so far (knock wood, spit on the ground) with Equifax but I'm kind of scared, after reading here, of taking on TU and Experian. Are all Credit Reporting Agencies created equally or are some worse than others? Finally, is there any merit in challenging a TU or Exp TL by pointing out that the same line is in good shape according to Equifax (ie. once a great credit history, always a great credit history)
I would rank the "axis of evil" in the following order from easiest to most difficult: Transunion, Equifax, Experian.
Exactly how I found them to be as well. I'm *still* fighting with experian almost a year after working things out with the other 2.

Transunion is the easiest, especially when you innocently point out that a creditor has not verified with you, yet the account is not reporting "disputed". Equifax is second. Evil Experian has to have demons working for them. I am down to 5 items. I believe this is going to be a slow and arduous process.
For me equifax has been the easiset. So, how are you pointing out to Transunion about the validation? Can you give me an example?
Re: Re: Which CR is easiest to correct? Equifax was the easiest for me. I actually had the luck of speaking to very helpful cust serv folks, and all the disputes that I started were always resolved to my statisfaction withouth much yelling about federal law violations. Experian was a pain in the ass until my lawyer sent them a 'give us a break' letter, with cc: to everybody and their brother. Since then, no problems, but I wouldn't talk to their cust serv even if somebody paid me big bucks to do it. They are the masters of misinformation. TransUnion, forget it. I just talked to them today and must have gotten connected with the Ambassador of Hell on Earth. Guy spoke to me as if he was doing me a favor, and then told me to pound sand. I did pound sand, on paper, and I am just waiting for them to "verify' the incorrect info. Then it's war. All in all, they all seem to be playing a game of overdoing each other in being just plain bad. PawMix
Re: Re: Which CR is easiest to correct? So it seems no one has done this Epitomee. You may have been thinking of those who file suit based on the easy violations, but that is definately more difficult than ASKING for it to be done.
