Hey curious, Which state has the best credit laws ie: removes 5 years after DOLA etc... I am in Canada and ours fall off after 6 years.. Rhonda
Oklahoma has a 3-year SOL for a creditor to take action against a debtor but the date of removal is still the FCRA 7 years.
California has some wonderful credit laws, including our own version of the FCRA and the FDCPA. While we do have the seven year expiry on negative credit items, it is fairly easy to get stuff removed with persistence. -HDAlex
Texas allows for $500 for negligent non-compliance or damages. This is great for me--its hard to sue for and prove damages on one account when your whole credit report is in bad shape. Also, if they don't fix your credit report within 10 days of judgment they are liable to the tune of $1,000 per day.

Should never be longer than sol. Because after sol they are reporting a non existent debt The END ************************* LB 59
