I just started my credit battles by first disputing the negatives on all 3 bureaus 15 days ago. At this point I'm 15 days away from results. My question is would you wait to see what comes back verified then proceed to the validation letters on whatever didn't get deleted OR send the validation letters now and see if the collector verifies the debt AFTER he receives your validation request and NEVER updates your credit records as "in dispute". That's a violation by the way.

I'm thinking most of these folks wait till the last minute to verify and my CRRR will be there before they do. They will then slip up and not mark the tradeline as in disupute. Most of these alleged debts are under $500 and I don't recognize half of them. I figure with the $1000 bucks I could "pay Paul with Peter's money". Basically pay one collectiona gency with another's money as a result of them f^cking up. Some may cry foul on this but the collection folks have been raping us for so long a little legal payback won't hurt. I feel no compassion for them.

Anyway, which method of attack is better. Validation DURING verification in hopes of a screwup OR Validation AFTER verification to avoid waking sleeping dogs and lessing your work load if some might get deleted anyway?

    Thank you.

At this point I would not send any validations out. You could shoot yourself in the foot by doing that. Say a ca forgot about the verification and hasn't responded. Then they receive your validation and they do respond. Yes it's a violation but as we know all too well, they don't usually follow the laws.

I would be more concerned with getting these things deleted than trying to get them commit violations. And just because they commit a violation, doesn't mean money in your pocket. Yes, they MAY be liable for up to $1000, but you will have to sue for it and convince a court as well. If you do win, you may still have problems collecting.

I definitely say to wait out the disputes. See what gets deleted, and after that if you want to send validation out to those left over, then go ahead.
