August of last year, I could not even get a secured credit card!!! Here it is 7 months later and I now have - Target Guest Card - $200 limit Cap 1 - $300 limit I realize that there are those in this world that would be saying "BFD!!! Why are you happy about THAT?" Most here know that I am happy about my little credit limits because I HAVE THEM AND I GOT THEM THROUGH MY OWN HARD WORK - along with advice and support of all here!! I DID NOT PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX IT FOR ME! AND I DID NOT GIVE UP!! We all have had to start somewhere. I am more than willing to have the low credit limits to start to establish my credit worthiness. You have to start somewhere! Thank you to all who take the time to help.
concrats, i know how you feel. i started this journey a year ago and had to start with the low credit limt also. i had 3 cards all with 500 limit which wa enough to charge up and pay each month with out paying interest. i am now working on closing on a house for 275k. a year ago i didnt think that would be possible.
Congratulations!! As you said, you have to start somewhere. Now keep working and get those limits up.
congrats!! i'm only about 20 days into my journey and my wife and i just got new cards (her's has a higher CL than mine, but at least i got something). i just found out that i'm gonna be a father (sometime in november) and hopefully we'll be buying a house/condo next year, after my credit gets a little better. you do have to start somewhere, and i'm glad this board and it's members are out there. i'm sure i'm not the only one who would be lost without both. dilla
