Who can request Credit Report?

    I see on my equifax report that collection agenices, (a law firm I think) are requesting my report. Are these legitmate request?

    Yes, if they are representing someone that you owe money to.

    If it turns out you don't owe the money then was pulling your report for a permissible purpose?

    Have you heard anything from these people?

    I believe that they are a law firm, but for the life of me I do not remember for who or what they are collecting.
