I got my first amex in June....delta sky miles...thinking about applying for blue...anyone have 2 accounts w/ these guys? What are the standards for blue?
I got a blue with pretty crappy credit scores. Of course it was only a 2000 CL when my other primary cards were over 10k each. At one time I had three AmEx accounts at once, they don't seem to care. I really don't know the exacts on when Blue will be accepted. I had late payments within a year of being accepted by blue, but nothing on my report except late pays and all 30-day at that. Someone here probably knows an estimated score needed for blue.
it seems as though with amex you can have as many cards as you want.. you can just only apply for one every 60 days. Once you have a credit card it is easy to get the charge card. and amex will let you combine accounts.. ie i just combined my optima plat 2000cl with my delta skymiles plat 2000cl for a whopping 4000cl.. they are super stingy with line increases though... kev
Actually, you can only apply every 90 days. I got the Gold Delta Skymiles in May with a $10,000 limit. On August 21st, I got the Optima card with a $12,000 limit. I could have been approved for any of their cards as it turns out. My score in August was 72x.
